This incredible vintage Kars carpet beautifully illustrates the imaginative artistry of eastern Turkish weavers. A large and bold sweeping floral medallion takes center stage on an open field. A double-banded, Dual-toned border with cornices and central indents contain a host of vining and floral motifs. The carpet is wonderfully crafted in a palette of various sienna, mocha and bone colors.
