This handwoven, antique Persian Serab rug features a central field imbued with a stretched medallion and various sub-geometric tribal motifs. A beautifully drawn, multi-tiered sub-geometric border surrounds the entirety of the piece. This rug is woven on a wool foundation and has a soft, pliable handle, typical of the earlier Serab rugs. The articulation of the motifs is excellent and this rug features beautiful color quality.
