This antique Persian medallion Tabriz rug, circa early 20th century, relies heavily on exquisite details as well as small-scale flowers and palmettes. A fine trellis of beautifully colored flowers sprawls across the light blue field, pulsating with alternating rhythms and framing the small central medallion. The geometric Herati motifs, flowers and serrated leaves imbue the rug with a beautiful articulation of pattern. Colors include light blue, light brown, tan, and sky blue.
