This antique Persian Mahal rug, circa early 20th century, relies heavily on exquisite details as well as small-scale flowers and palmettes. A Fine trellis of beautifully colored flowers sprawls across the light mocha field, pulsating with alternating rhythms and framing the rug. The palmettes, flowers and serrated leaves imbue the rug with a beautiful articulation of pattern. Colors include shades of brown, light blue, cream, taupe and hints of taupe.
