This antique Persian Serapi carpet displays a wonderful Sub-geometric design containing a multitude of decorative palmettes, acanthus leaves, pomegranates and blossoms. The rug is woven in the traditional color palette of reds, blues and ivory, and it holds a stunning four-point medallion at its center. Four joined cornices hold in place the surrounding complementary border. The inner and outer guards present a repeating pattern of alternating red and blue flowers.
