Antique Persian Qashgai Rug with diamond medallions of various earth colors and light tones surrounded by a field of beautiful light gray filed with tribal motifs inspired by nature. Qashqai's are tribes that travelled to the southern city of Shiraz and its surroundings in the cold season and returned to the center and western part of Persia in the warm seasons. Most Qashqai rugs are not that large and primarily they were made on portable horizontal looms. This rug is among the extra ordinary examples of Qashqai rugs with very unique coloration.
