This antique Persian carpet, from the Hamadan district in western Persia, originated in the early 20th century and features an all-over geometric Herati design of dark blue background, medium blue border with terracotta red, blue, green, light yellow and ivory surrounded by a multitude of tribal and intricate geometrics. Multiple borders frame the entire piece, each with their own unique and detailed design.
