This antique Persian Malayer runner, circa early 20th century, relies heavily on exquisite details, as well as small-scale flowers and palmettes and a multi-medallion design. A fine trellis of beautifully colored flowers and geometric motifs sprawls across the blue-gray field.. The palmettes, flowers and serrated leaves imbue the rug with a beautiful articulation of pattern. Colors include blue gray, ivory, red, light blue and salmon.
