Rich vegetable colors in Blue and red Tribal Medallion design fine weave Kurdish antique rug from Persia, Keivan Woven Arts / rug R20-0503, country of origin / type: Iran / Kurdish, circa 1900.
This antique Kurdish tribal rug was woven by Kurdish weavers in western Persia around 1900's. The repeating geometric design in the border are woven in varying beautiful colors on an ivory color. The dyes are all natural and there is lovely variation, resulting in a colorful piece with great character, and an expansive medallion design in the central field. Colors include midnight blue, brick red, green, yellow, pink and brown.
