This antique Persian Hamedan gallery rug (circa early 20th century) features a unique blend of colors and an intricately beautiful design. The central larger and smaller medallions consist of a vertical line of geometric-tribal elements, surrounded by complementary figures in the surrounding field and border. The various shades of tan, taupe, blue, charcoal and acid green blend beautifully with the variegated blue background.
