Early 20th Century Long Kurdish Runner with Blue, Red, Green and Salmon Pink kwarugs
This antique Kurdish tribal runner was woven by Kurdish weavers in western Persia in the early 20th century. Often they used this repeating latch-hook design in the border, woven along in varying colored panels. The emphasis with these rugs is on their colors, and those in this early piece are very vivid and interesting. The dyes are all natural and there is lovely variation, resulting in a colorful piece with great character.
Measures: 3'8 x 16'8.
