Antique Persian Fine Persian Malayer Short Runner in Great Condition , 16-0920, This colorful piece features a gradient coral and purple field decorated with navy blue lattice work and stylized boteh and floral elements. A beautifully drawn reciprocal trefoil guard border is complemented by a blue border and a wide, yellow-colored main band that contains stylized flower heads. This rug is woven on a wool foundation and has a soft, pliable handle, typical of the earlier Malayer rugs. The articulation of its motifs is excellent, and this rug features beautiful color quality.
