Long Antique Persian Runner- This antique runner was woven in far northwest Persia in the area bordering the Caucasus. The deep madder red color and saturation of its finely drawn elements are enhanced by their placement against a deep indigo field. The main border is composed of diagonal, multicolored stripes reminiscent of Persian textiles of the 19th century.
