The camel field in this piece is decorated with ivory strap work, navy blue lattice work and stylized Boteh and floral elements. A beautifully drawn Reciprocal Trefoil guard border is complemented by an ivory minor border and a wide, plain camel color outer band that contains stylized flowerheads. This rug is woven on a wool foundation and has a soft, pliable handle, typical of the earlier Serab rugs. The articulation of the motifs is excellent and this rug features beautiful color quality.
