This piece is a large and unusual vintage Azilal rug from central Morocco, in the Atlas Mountains. The silky wool pile features natural cream and warm browns, along with muted orange motifs mixed with a row of sky blue. The design is composed of chains of lozenges and rows of mountain symbols running from side to side, creating strong movement in this tribal design.
