This beautiful rug from mid-20th century Turkey features a traditionally European design. The faint cream ground is home to the elaborate center medallion and surrounding floral motifs. The border, an extension of these motifs, is surrounded by two smaller guard borders. Colors include cream, lavender, shades of green and taupe to tan. This carpet is an elegant and unique work of art.
