This mid century Tulu rug features repeating red motifs laid across a sand-colored field and enclosed within similarly-colored frames.



Tulu rugs were woven in Konya area, in central Anatolia, with high pile and very fine wool. Vintage Tulu rugs such as this one are exceptionally durable and can be used in high traffic areas. much like Moroccan rugs, Tulu rugs are made in small villages and they are more rare to fine in a size like this one.
