Large elegant Antique Agra Carpet with Floral Design in Tones of Red, taupe and light green. Remarkable craftsmanship with regal designs and palette choices came out of India during the late 19th century. The light green and red tones of this antique Indian Agra rug play off each other amidst floral patterns and designs. An expansive central medallion, with decorative pendants at either ends, spills onto the surrounding border. The encompassing field and cornices play host to a myriad of various colorful flora. The four-channel border displays various floral and geometric motifs that travel though in a repeating pattern. The beautiful richness of color and design make this antique carpet a masterpiece. This rug has been reduced on the sides.
