This magnificent antique Persian Heriz carpet from the mid-20th century (circa 1950) bears an exquisite design rendered in gorgeous, warm hues of red and various shades of blue. A highly stylized geometric centre medallion anchors the rug and is surrounded by numerous geometric patterns and floral motifs. A complementary border of complex, entwined patterns frames the entire piece. Colors include bright red, midnight blue, ivory, and brown.
