This beautifully muted antique Turkish Oushak displays a stretched central medallion filled with Sub-geometric floral motifs and capped with palmettes. The saw-toothed cornices expand upon the theme of Sub-geometric floral designs. Stylized zig-zag borders hold the north and south ends of the field. A narrow inner guard of patterned X motifs counter the outer guards pattern of floral blossoms. The inner border displays an alternating pattern of Sub-geometric motifs.
